Election of the President of Sarva Seva Sangh

  1.    Appointment of Election Officer :

The Working Committee of the Sarva Seva Sangh will appointment a Election  Officer at least 30 days   prior to the date of election.

  1. Publication of voter list:a) The Head Office of Sarva Seva Sangh will publish the names of the following voters in the website of Sarva Seva Sangh at least 2 months prior to the date of election of the President.

According to the Section-4 of Rules and Regulations of Sarva Seva Sangh –

i)   The President of District Sarvodaya Mandals,
ii)  The Representative of District Sarvodaya Mandals
iii) The President of State Sarvodaya Mandals
iv) The members nominated by the President of Sarva Seva Sangh
v) Loksevaks

b) Rectification in the list :

Any rectification in the list will be accepted upto 15 days after  publication of the list in the website.

c) Resolve of Rectification:

After last date of rectification it will be resolved within next 10 days.

d) Publication of Rectified List:

After completion of the duration as per section  2(c) the final rectified list will be

published in the website of Sarva Seva Sangh within next one week.

  1. Nomination Paper :

a) Availability of Nomination Paper: One can obtain the nomination paper either from the Head Office of Sarva Seva Sangh at Sevagram or Camp Office at the venue of the Adhivesan as per the dates decided by the Working Committee.

b) Proposer and Seconder: On the nomination paper there must be signatures of at least 3 Loksevaks from 3 states as proposer and seconder whose names are appeared in the Loksevak list of Sarva Seva Sangh.

One Loksevak can be the proposer or seconder of any one candidate.

c) The prescribed Nomination Paper for the Presidential candidate duly filed up should be submitted to the Election Officer as per schedule by the Working Committee.

d) Scrutiny of Nomination Paper: The Election Officer will scrutinize the Nomination Papers as per schedule by the Working Committee. If he finds any discrepancy he can cancel the nomination paper.

e) The Publication of the list of Candidates : The Election Officer will publish the list of  candidates as per schedule of the Working Committee.

f) Withdrawal of Candidature: After the publication of the list of candidates if any candidate wants to withdraw his/ her candidature, he/she can do as per schedule by the Working Committee.

g) The Final list of Candidates: As per schedule the Election Officer will publish the final list of candidates after the closing time of withdrawal of candidates.

  1. Ballot Paper :

The Ballot Paper will be issued from the head office of Sarva Seva Sangh. In each Ballot paper there will be the signature of the Election Officer and the round seal of Sarva Seva Sangh on the back side of the Ballot Paper

  1. Election:

a) If necessary (under the circumstances if there is more than one candidate) the election of the President will be held during the Adhivesan of the Sangh as per schedule  by the Working Committee.

b) As per rules of Sarva Seva Sangh only those, the members described under Section-4, can participate in the election.

c) The Election Officer will have power to cancel the Ballot Paper if there is any discrepancy in it.

d) The Ballot Papers will be preserved for six months after election and then those will be burnt.

  1. Election of the President of State Sarvodaya Mandal


(a) Election Officer
:

The Working Committee of the State Sarvodaya Mandal will appoint an Election Officer at

least 30   days prior to the date of election.

(b) Publication of voter list:

State Sarvodaya Mandal will publish the voter list 30 days prior to the date of election. The

District / City President / Convener / Representatives will be included in the list.

(c) On the date of election, the Election Officer will complete the election in the presence of

the Sarva Seva Sangh observer. In the case of more than one candidate, the election will be conducted by the Election officer.

  1. Election of President of District Sarvodaya Mandal :

(a)  The election will be held in the presence of the observer appointed by the State Sarvodaya

Mandal where minimum ½ Loksevak (on the basis of the number of Loksevak and

Sarvodaya Mitra).

(b)  The Sarvodaya Mitra will participate the election but cannot be the candidate in the

election.

  1. Others

The person residing in the district can be the Loksevak and the office bearer of that particular district.
